October 24 Board meeting – Recently the Longacres Homeowners Association (LHOA) Board met for their quarterly meeting. The board reviewed financials, reviewed/approved 2014 budget, discussed options for future capital replacements and upcoming Annual meeting. Annual Meeting – November 14 at 7pm in Chan Rec Center Room 1. Agenda includes the following items plus reviewing this presentation and this packet which will be mailed to you shortly.
- Review 2013 activities and financials
- Discuss forecasted needed capital improvements over next 5-10 years and get input from homeowners on how they should be addressed.
- Allied Waste currently offering 1 year pricing of about $21/month for garbage disposal. LHOA will be losing this rate as of 12/31/13 due to % of neighbors participating. Discuss options for keeping low rates.
- We will be electing three new board members (one for 1-year period to finish existing board member’s term, two with full 3-year term). We are looking for volunteers interested and willing to continue to keep LHOA a great place to live. Board meetings are held 6 times/year and the majority of communication is done via email. Volunteers are discuss and decide how to best leverage available dues to maintain the neighbor common areas, have the opportunity to learn more about the ongoing activities and maintenance in the neighborhood and have positive impact on the future. - Homeowner Open Forum
Holiday Lights Installation – We will be looking for some volunteers in mid-November to help put up the holiday lights at the entrances. Please consider volunteering to make our entrances look bright and welcoming during this winter season. A request with more details will be coming in the next few weeks.
